Payslip Assistance
Payslip Assistance in Unit4 Advanced Virtual Agent (Ava) allows employees to access and understand their pay information directly from Microsoft Teams. Ava can retrieve payslip data, explain salary components, compare pay between periods, and provide payslip documents.
Note: Payslip Assistance is currently available for early adopters only.
The following capabilities are available with Payslip Assistance:
- View a full breakdown of a payslip for the latest or any historical period.
- Ask questions about specific payslip items, such as deductions, bonuses, overtime, and net pay.
- Compare payslips between two periods and understand what changed.
- Download a payslip document for the latest or any historical period.
- View year-to-date (YTD) values for salary components.
Payslip Assistance is only available for the authenticated user. Ava cannot retrieve payslip information for other employees.
Note: Payslip Assistance requires that payslips have been generated with the history keeping option enabled and stored as documents in Document archive. If this is not the case, Ava will not be able to retrieve payslip data.
System setup
In order to complete the functional setup for Payslip Assistance, someone with administrator permissions within the ERPx environment needs to perform the following steps.
Access rights
Assign access rights for the relevant users as listed in User access checklist.
Payslip history configuration
Payslip Assistance relies on payslip data being available in the payslip history. Ensure that payslips are generated with the history keeping option enabled in the HR/Payroll configuration.
Payslip documents must also be stored in Document archive with document type PAYSLIP in order for Ava to retrieve and attach them.
